Re: Doesn’t make for good reading on Impact Bumpers
There maybe more to this. Years ago I studied law of contract as a module on a business course. Aspects of law are defined in part by previous cases, i.e. case law. Of the many cases we studied, it seemed to me that a disproportionately high number were motor trade related, going right back to the 1920s. The one that stuck in my mind was Beale v. Taylor where a Triumph Herald convertible proved to be 2 such cars welded together, another was Baldry v Marshall the Bugatti specialist, plus many others.

Like the used car salesman's genealogical antecedent, the horse trader...to this day, the bad ones drug lame nags to make them look healthier than they are, etc.
As Bootsy said, these people are sociopaths who don't feel bad when they screw others over, be it once or repeatedly.
Is the Malton accusation new? Not the same guy as Gmund, right? John

Swan song appearance from the famous Knaresborough car rustler in this months “Classic Cars” magazine..
I assume this feature was written some time ago ( the same article will probably appear in “Real life crime “ magazine next month)

So, screw all you can and stroll away, no probs.
People simply break the law and walk away untouched, bulging pockets I presume.
Did anyone get their monies?
Were cars returned to the rightful owners, and was anyone recompensed?
Seems the Police got a bit bored and have moved on to fining people without masks.

And where did all his cars go? When I visited to view a 914/6 rep, there were loads of cars and he had another premises. Was that all fake somehow?
I was warned by a journo-contact to be very careful. The 914 was pretty slow and I was told it was exactly like it should be, running in fine form. When actually tracked down a previous owner they said nah, the motor is knacked, it's slow as a dog. I didn't bother further.
