Weltmeister sticker for 71

Post by Tommy »

Anyone out there with a 71 911 with original (old) Weltmeister 69/70 sticker in the windscreen or rear quarter window?

According to 911S registry (from where I got the sticker) it should be in the windsreen,
but I beliieve I have seen a 71 with an old worn down sticker in the rear quarter window.

My car have narrow(not deep dish) 6" Fuchs so its a fairly late 71 I've leared.

Restorers Guide to Autencity isn't very helpful :(

Mines original and a 71 car.

Apply to the inside back quarter window glass (on the right hand side if looking from the rear). Place to the rear of the window, about an inch from the seal.

Cheers

It's meant to be in the right hand rear quarter window glass, but I think there's been a thread before
which touched upon the way it's (incorrectly?) applied in Steve McQueens 911S road car in Le Mans :

Yes Steve's car was showing the very first sticker in 69.

Have a look here and make sure you've got the right one.

Tommy, did you get that decal recently? I emailed the registry guy a couple of weeks ago about them, but no word back... thought he may have stopped producing them or something :?: :?:

Cheers...

Hi Gavin.
He has som sort of spam-protection so it might be hard to get thru. I ordered it in november something and got it late december.

Good luck.
