4 Rare 6J x 15 Fuchs Alloys for sale

Post by 356Monkey »

I'm selling my rare set of 4 J6 x 15 Genuine Porsche Fuchs wheels part number 911.361.020.00.
These will benefit from a restoration but all are in restorable condition and would make a fabulous set of wheels
Date stamped 4/72 which is consistent with their part number.
2 come with tyres though frankly these are not useable, the 2 rims pictured without tyres have rubbed on bodywork on the inner of the rim causing a slight groove but I’m told this is repairable

They are listed on ebay under item number 283413147475

Had quick look on ebay - 2 off them are flat sixes and the other 2 are deep sixes - each pair will have different part numbers and are therefore not matched. 911.361.020.00 is the flat six number - check the other wheels for their numbers also.

Looks like one of the Deep 6 (Fuchs with tire) is a non heart that puts it in the late 1970 early 71 range. Deep 6 is nearly the double value over Flat 6 (the -72 wheels). You should correct your ebay ad and say that two of the wheels are deep 6 and maybe add some more attraction and a better price? And check the numbers and dates on the two deep 6 also.

I am interested in your wheels. Have you sold them. I would like to inspect before purchasing. After the comments from 91167 what are you asking for them.

Hmm. I though people were generally valuing deep six and flat six period Fuchs at the same levels these days?

I think poss the deep six without heart might be worth more due to rarity but presumably only to those whose car would have had them originally.

Buy them Robin. You don't have enough to fill a garage yet.

My experience is that deep 6 is ca 50% more expensive than flat 6. Deep 6 is far more pretty but flat 6 is better and more practical with hump for the tire and can be used without tubes.
With or without heart, more cars need the heart version but non heart wheels were made only some months. Most people would not see the difference and it is no big deal really.

Btw, anybody have one or two deep 6 or one deep 7(R) made in ´68 lying around....?

Is your experience is of the Scandinavian VW market, not the UK market? Deep sixes may be worth £50 - £100 more than a flat six, but none are hard to come by.

OP: As it happens I am after a single 69 dated Deep six heart for refurb. Can you supply date codes for the deep sixes?

Hello Nick!! We have done business before(2004)! If I remember correct we traded a pair of IDS against some 4.5x15 Fuchs, I still has one of the wheels on the shelf! I went in school in Manchester back then.

I have two '69 coded deep6 but can not remember the month, will check tomorrow. Do you have any '68 dated to trade with? Or any 7R....?

I also have a pair of Disc wheels in 6x16 (924 turbo)...

Best Regards
Kjell T

Thanks Kjell, let me know tomorrow. I don't have any early rims but have a refurbed non-heart to trade.

OP, sorry to hijack your thread, but still interested in yours.
