Lots of time spent with wiring, glad to report wipers and wiper wash working as are horns. Headlamps high/low perfect. Indicators working but need to trace a bad earth causing the side lights to come on at the same time (only on the left). Gauge lights and front and rear lid lights and number plate all tickety boo. No power to clock or interior lights so need to find the issue - so much time on wiring...... Engine electric board installed just needs wired and a few parts still to arrive. Rear axle area all done - all lines, brakes heater cables all sorted. Planning the engine install over the Christmas break. Nearly there......

I was tempted to cut them to what I believe is correct (380mm) but not 100% that is correct and the phrase "I've cut it twice and it's still too short" - springs to mind........

HI redrobin911

I would not bother cutting the pipes either, as they are the wrong ones any way, they are off the engine , fan housing to heat-exchanger pipes are black, engine to control flap's are RED

Merry Christmas and special thanks to all that have helped with my 67S. Few pics of current status. So very close to engine in. 99% of the wiring complete and more importantly working. Fuel tank and fuel lines fitted. Will fit the engine and transmission in the New Year, time for a rest over the festive season.

Car back up to Johnny's and time to fit the engine and transmission and get the car up and running again. The engine is the 2.7 "spare" that came fitted to the car when I got it and the transmission is the orignal to the car. Hope to get the original matching 2.0S engine built later in the year, but the 2.7 will do for now.

Is it going in without the silencer on the engine?

Going back in the way it came out....... Have new SSI's (seen on the left) nice 2 in 2 out silencer, rebuild weber IDS, just a few small pieces on the way that we found missing - for cabin heating - ducts, tin ware etc. as previously the car didn't run heat. Won't be long now - assuming the engine runs (well?) and the tranny behalves itself.

So a quick wipe over the engine with WD40 and bolt on the recently rebuilt IDS carbs and the engine/transmission is going in.
