John Lucas's old 356 race car? Badly damaged in an accident with a Jaguar? at Silverstone? years ago.
Like Hendrick, I have loads of photos of it in old Porsche Posts upstairs in the loft, and a few slides that I took myself ……… somewhere!
I'm sure KS will be along in a minute.

Please don't over-restore and sanitise it, as happened to his replacement car, it has such a history that it deserves to be kept as a race car or sympathetic hot rod. 8)

Many thanks everyone

Unfortunately its not my car, it now belongs to a good friend of mine and it's in very safe hands

Any pictures or history would be great to help get the car back to it original period racing condition

So thank's again all.

Andy.

I think this is John Lucas' replacement car JW refers to. I saw Caroline Lucas race this at Brands Hatch when I was getting interested in older Porsches. Was at Roger Bray's a couple of years ago
maverick
noun
1. an unorthodox or independent-minded person.
2. an unbranded calf or yearling.
Origin mid 19th century: from the name of Samuel A. Maverick (1803–70), a Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle.
