Best source for early 911 batteries?

Hi all,
Looks like my batteries are on their last legs. Anyone know of a good source for them?

Got mine from Halfords!

I can't remember which spec I ended up with, but I just took one of the pair in with me and offered it up until I found a match.

I use Bosch silver you can get them from GSF car parts.

Dave,

I got my Exide batterys from a local shop not far from 2+2 in Brierly Hill.

Exide bought a British battery maker. This company's product was not good. I had one fail each year. Exide bought the company and fixed the quality problems.

The Exide batteries have lasted a bood 3 years now and the car turns over like the batteries are new.

Just buy the biggest you can fit into your battery boxes.

I`ve had the Bosche silver batteries in since 2000, and they are still great, and turn over like new. I do use a battery monitor though. Got them from GSF.

halfords as well.

from memory, £40 for standard or £50 for longlife.

and one time they were even doing a buy 2 get 1 free, odd but handy to have a spare knocking about.

I prefer the Bosch babies as they are original fit but I'm just an obsessive purist!!!

How about a fully sealed battery (no vapour vent), heard good things about Optima, not cheap mind you:
