The carpets are still dirty. I had the seats and the gear knob professionally repaired and then dyed, the guy is a genius. I have used him in the past and have always been really pleased with the results.

I haven't posted much of late, the car has been used a fair bit. Some minor niggles sorted, all in all it drives really well and I am becoming quite fond of the car. I had the paint professionally polished and it has come up like new, there are some minor areas with small damage but I personally think its fine given the car. The major issue from the start has been the wind noise, it is unbearable. My local indy fitted the seal from Dan Petchel, the roof sits lower but still not the solution.
The bodyshop who worked on my Alfa are better suited for awkward jobs like shuts line, door seals and similar. Left the car with them, two new roof locking mechanisms, some adjustment at the rear pins and the car is perfect, no wind noise. Delighted

You always do a lovely job Tom. Can’t see that lasting long. Car looks sharp.
It must be one of the last built?

Regards
Mike

It must be and not sure where the chassis sits in the production. Certainly, the last year of the 3.2 which has the G50 gearbox (think this was introduced 87 or 88).

The car is now sold, going to a good home. Gave the car a final polish tonight, filled it up with super unleaded and took some last pictures. The car will get collected on Monday.

Drives well, it has been enjoyable owning the car and getting the feel of the Targa. Lovely cars.
