Do you mean the main case in aluminium?
Rather oddly I actually have an empty case in the shed!

It has been 'modified' to make the main bearings an interference fit by centre punch marks all round the inside of the bearing bores, but can be bored and sleeved by Mike Bainbridge.
Should stress that I didn't do that centre punching!
As far as I know the case is sound, came from another DDK'r some years ago for a still-born project of mine.

Is it of some use to you? Can photograph it late tomorrow.
Graham.

Jasper; straight out of the shed, so please forgive the cobwebs, it's been in there for 3 years. It's in the garage now, so can take more pics if needed.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but that is an '80 - '83 SC rear case according to the id number (915/62) and lack of cut out for 3.2 flywheel sensors.

Yes, I've already told Jasper it could be an SC box.
Cutting the slot for the 3.2 sensors is easy.
He knows what it is, it may not be right.

HI Jasper

has you gearbox case (that is in the car) any sign of a No' on the bottom of the case, the case you will need will have to be a late one with the smaller input-shaft bearing , unless it is changed for the older larger type,
was the pinion bearing loose in the original, as to why the case was changed, also was the pinion re-set in the case in the car and the diff re- set to match
I will have a look and see if I have a 3.2 case, IF I have it will need the pinion bearing sorting out, unless you have sorted out a case, or the original?

regards mike
