Does it go better after you did nothing to it? Usually you will experience gains on the 'butt dyno', and noticeably sharper turn-in.

I’ve driven 260 miles in my little 356 over the last couple of days. I went up into Shropshire avoiding motorways to keep the noise/revs down and had great fun on twisty minor roads. It’s a lot slower than my Boxster, which is good given how fast most go.

Took El Chucho for MOT yesterday. Failed in RHS handbrake efficiency. This afternoon will be spent investigating/fixing...

Enjoyed the evening commute in mine and called in on a customer on the way home. As the nights draw in I'm trying to use it as much as possible and every fine evening's a bonus.

Went to look at my 1972 shell which was getting some paint on to the bare metal. Very large rear arches to cry for. Contemplated the 2.7 litre 250 BHP engine that will find a home in the rear. Bugger.

Taxed it for another year, thus, I think, free of the DVLA modification question for 12 months.
Cancelled the re-paint of the car that was due in November until the crap is sorted out over IVA.

Seriously considering re-converting the car to LHD and then sell after 29 years of ownership. What a load of bollocks it all is.
Sad state of affairs, but an MGB GT will be nice.

No chance of feeling ok!
The whole IVA thing is just so irritating, more for me than others on here, and no point trying to discuss it on here either..
The B GT is a car I've had before, my 3rd car restoration in the early 80's.
Nice car IMHO with an old cloth cap image but a nice stock early chrome bumper car to roll around in on high days. Cheap, no Porsche tax thieves around and simple cars.

Sounds like bliss.
My bro in law has a chrome roadster which he has had for 40 years garaged and barely used which could be available.....just add a nice hardtop and fresh batteries.

Or just bollocks to the classic car thing altogether!

Fix STANDARD cars, STANDARD classic bikes, and get into model aeroplanes if there are any flying fields left to use not closed down by a minority group with the power of Parliament.
I was in short trousers when I last flew a plane, happy days iirc., me flying a plane in the local park 'with me mates'.
I would get an asbo now or however you abbreviate it.

Listened to a double barrelled named Lady on R2 yesterday.
She is in the House of Lords, and in touch like all of the members with the common man in the UK.
She insisted the very important work of the 800 or so members of the H of L is to stop a government passing stupid laws "willy nilley".
She must have been on holiday when the DVLA got the IVA tat through Parliament assuming anyone was there and awake.

Thus, with the mood I'm in I should really be an activist and riot against all car things the Gov have in store.

I have a '66 BGT which has been threatening to get done but that won't happen after 20 years so will be sold eventually. Vaguely Porsche content as that's the reason the GT got left.
