Great to see it sorted Darren!! I really like your idea of doing the transplant and keeping the original lump. Best of both worlds - performance and originality :P
Shame we won't see you (it) at the ACE this month.

Sorry to join this thread so late, it looks great. I have a 3 litre in my 73 car on webers, Have you uprated the suspension, changed the torsion bars etc for the extra weight of the sc, what brakes have you got on it, is it worth fitting sc brakes?
Should we start a 3.0litre in an early car register!

I will post pictures of my car soon (xmas) when it is all back together in Gulf colours. It is in the body shop now.

James I've only fitted new bilstein shocks on all corners so far, havent changed the torsion bars and i'm still using 2.2 brakes. For starters I'll be fitting front/rear anti-roll bars, having the calipers re-built and fitting ebc fastroad pads and see how i fare with them, early indications are that the brakes are perfectly adequate for street driving, even 'very enthusiastic' driving, but this might be a different story on a track, only time will tell.
As far as 901/911 box handling the torque, I'll cross that bridge if and when anything happens, I did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that there really is no concrete conclusion, only it seems that the general opinion is that it's fine if not stood on in 1st gear.
for now I just want to get the mot sorted and drive the thing, my plan is to address any future mods if and when they become necessary. Thanks again everyone.

Stevieboy ! glad to here you're well, we've missed you mate, be good to see you out soon.
