Re: Photobucket account 3rd party linking help
Has anyone managed to get the library download to work or have a work around? I have over 3000 images there many of which I really want.
Also the individual download seems to send files of less than 100kb, so the quality is crap.
I haven't stored anything with them for a few years, but there's a lot of stuff I do want...

Re: Photobucket account 3rd party linking help
The library download worked for me OK albeit with only 300-400 images.
I had to do it separately for each of my folders - Your Bucket, Recent Uploads, Mobile Uploads to get everything.
Hope that helps and good luck updating your photo links - takes a while but worth the effort for the community as a whole.

Ok,
My Photobucket 3rd party hosting has just started working again... WTF?
Haven't done anything other than send a well written (if I say so myself)
complaint email to Photobucket.
Hey ho, lets see how long this lasts

Perhaps if you reproduced your letter here Darren, we could use it as a template and get our Photobucket accounts working again.

Re: Photobucket account 3rd party linking help
I keep on getting emails from photobucket that my account has been restricted because my pictures are over the 2 Gb limit.
I don't use PB, but did use their subsidiary, tinypic as it worked for me until recently.
I decided to send them a reply stating that their new policy has ruined globally may good threads etc and this third party restriction (unless you pay dearly) has caused me to look elsewhere for a picture host.
An hour later this arrived:

Re: Photobucket account 3rd party linking help
Well, can say potimage.org is really good!
So easy, right on parr with tinypic but better.
found if you select the size you want as a default (usefully expressed as screen size) the re-size is auto and take a few seconds. a progress line lets you know how long it will take to load up.
This allows the original picture to remain at it's 'as photographed' size.
tinypic would not let me do this, the host would never re-size off the original, you had to resize and then could never go back.
Really chuffed with this, thank you to Keith and a few others who have pointed this organisation out recently.
God, I love my old LC1 Lumix, a £300 ebay buy years ago. Wish my D90 Nikon was this good.

Re: Photobucket account 3rd party linking help
Wow - that actually works really well- my thread is back up and running if I use Chrome - not, if I use IE. It also seems to work on JohnMs thread too - some temporary respite anyway - I'm sure they'll find a way around this.....

Re: Photobucket account 3rd party linking help
Hmm...that chrome extension didn't work for me.
Not really a long-term solution anyway, but would have told me exactly which photos to replace!
Wonder why it works for some and not for others?
