I have just fitted my header unit in the glove box, speakers cables to the rear hidden under the new carpet and then installed some 5x7 speakers in here. (see pic)
It was the most original "looking" set up I could find. The picture is an older one that I had. I have had mine recovered and it looks great.
Yes we do make the M7000S without speakers. The speaker extrusions are
there and the 5.25 speaker holes are cut into the product. The M7000S*W/O
sells for $179.00 plus shipping. It is oversize. If you give us a mailing
address we could find out how much shipping is.
Thanks again for choosing Moch-1

Alan. The back shelf set-up looks great. Did you make that yourself or buy it?
Hi Tim
I have the same as Luke in the front of my car, and the same as Alan in the back. I got the rear from John Moch via Performance Products in the US but NOT CHEAP , the finish is excellent and I think it looks great, kinda like rear headrests, but I was a bit disappointed with the sound quality so I’ll be upgrading the speakers over the winter. The front is a piece of cake to install and IMO offers the best value for money for getting sounds in your car without b£$tardising those RS door cards, and the speakers are out of immediate sight as well. I got mine direct from John Moch and without speakers, I put JBL components in there and they’re good enough. I’ve also added a plug-in pioneer active sub behind the drivers seat to fill in the lack of bass, I first saw one in one of Autofarm’s RS re-creations and it‘s great because it’s easy to unplug and put away when you’re parked up, retail around £100. I’ve just got back from holiday and need to do a few jobs for the car’s mot, once it’s road legal again I’ll be happy to stop by for you to take a look/have a listen to what a non beefed up 4 speaker sound is like in an early car as I‘m also in London.
That sounds like a great offer... I'd be really interested in hearing it when you've sorted your bits and pieces out. I work in North London (Elstree), and ride through London each day on a motorbike, so can easily stop off somewhere if that's easiest.
I've been speaking to John Moch, and am awaiting a call back to see whether he can fedex stuff to my mum's hotel in time. He's recommended the ones with speakers, but I'm thinking I might be better off getting it without speakers and then sourcing better ones here?
Any thoughts anyone?
Tim
