It's not controlled by PCGB James and never will be as long as those organising it continue to do so.

And chatting to Fred on email today he backed the above up.....

"As the founder of the event I can can confirm to you that the fundamental ethos behind CATC is that the event is and always has been about the cars and not the Clubs -which is how over ten years we have built an admirable strong identity and an annual showcase for the real KG badge cars and at the same time hopefully a community which by now should not be tainted by diversity "

Interesting. Could someone wiser than me just interpret what Fred means by "hopefully a community which by now should not be tainted by diversity" ?

I just read it as all suitable cars regardless of style - stock, modified etc

I didn't.
"showcase for the real KG badge cars", i.e. no backdates, no replicas.
"should not be tainted by diversity". No replicas, no backdates.

I suspect that Nick's interpretation is closer to the truth.

Guess I won't waste time driving over then. They do need to clarify it though, otherwise lots will be disappointed when they are routed to the "not worthy" carpark!

They were always anti reps in the early days....although never stopped them allowing their trade stands to sell them

Not sure how accurate that is. When I called Heddingham it was being discussed between someone at pcgb and the event organiser at Heddingham.

The event was actually cancelled first then put back on.

Does it matter ?
