Very nice, no batteries included (AA x 3), but screwdriver is, so nothing is needed for a basic build.
If you want to make it nicer, you'll need an x-acto knife or razor blade, and possibly a nail file to smooth the broken-off residues on the edges. I've seen someone using WD40 to oil the cylinder and crank....
It takes about two hours, and if you know very little about engines (yes I know...), the building process actually makes you understand how it all works.... Very nice.....
