The remainder looked reasonably good,

But not everything was rosy,

Lots of other small repairs which take time and bucketfuls of talent and we end up like this,

What can I say, how good is this,

Looking fab !

Inspiration indeed for those of us welding at home and wishing we had the skills to fabricate like that

Keep up the great work

Barry just makes you smile doesn't he?

Just look at those battery box MIG corner welds....
Do I detect more and more spots weld appearing on each car done?

With the quality of work on these pages it always strikes me a shame that these cars have to be painted! I had to drop something at a very large house this week, amongst all the usual modern exotica in the (private) road sat a Land Rover Series IIa - a quick walkaround showed that the car had had a 100% mechanical restoration, but the body panels had not been touched; not a single one was straight or devoid of some dings and the paint was only just hanging on for dear life - it looked glorious!

Enjoying this build, like everyone else i like sitting down with a mug of tea to admire the next installment from Barry...

Those bits he fabbed in front of the battery boxes are very cool. You gotta love this work. And I also used to love getting the 'photo update' packages each week, they make you feel so warm and lovely that the car is going back to fantastic health!

Great updates Mike - really enjoying this.

what type of MIG welder does he use? that is very neat on the battery boxes and very hard to do on thin material
