914's in Sussex

Spotted near Pulborough, West Sussex yesterday....I was following for a bit on the diversion route.

This hasty snap while stopped at the junction doesn't do either car justice, both looked really lovely!

One question though... why roof on?!

They were on their way to the CHP Porsche Picnic, along with approx 100 other Porkers.

Mapledurham is a very interesting place, and where the film The Eagle Has Landed was shot, however I think it's a bit inaccessible for a car meet. The roads are narrow and potholed, and it's off the beaten track. There are some other venues in the area that might fit the bill such as Basildon House or Beale Park.

Was the day before Porsche Picnic although both were there too. Den 912de and delkel, both in fresh paint but neither good enough for an award at Porsche Picnic!
They were testing a route to Arundel for the next 914 lunch meet

That was me in the yellow 914 and Brian and Kate in the red one. I did see you behind us. We were on a trial run/lunch for a run we are doing in a few weeks.
