2.7 RS info wanted

There's an FIA rally prepared 2.7RS in the forthcoming Coys sale

Shame about the black window trims

But, thinking about the Viper Green car, if the price is right, it may well be worth considering:

- Assuming it is sound with its original integrity and no rust - it could be a lot of fun.
- Apart from some UK buyers, lhd RSs are generally considered better.
- If it's not cosmetically perfect, you can use it and enjoy it with less worry.
- You might be able to run it as a 'rolling restoration', gradually improving it as time and budget permit.
- If you buy well and invest sensibly, you shouldn't lose money
- Properly set up it should deliver the full RS experience
- And, when people ask, you can say "yes, it is genuine".

Why?

Aren't they all just RS's? They were made on the same line?

Just because the dynamics of supply and demand put a premium on 101/1550 odd why is LHD better than RHD?

here's a picture of my car on the Safari

The picture of your Safari RS shows it to have a UK registration number. My books show the 2 1973/74 Safari cars to be registered S-AR-7909 (VIN #285 -Herrmann) and S-AR-7910 (VIN #288 - Waldegaard). There was one other car run in 74 for the Brirtish team of Fritchi and Moon, is this your car?

its been interesting reading the thread on values etc; but at the end of the day, cars are like all the best things in life, they're worth what someone is prepared to pay for them!

And here's one, I think its fair to say, at the top end of the market.
