Porsche Museum
I am thinking of going to the Porsche museum in Stuttgart in September, can anyone recommend a good hotel nearby for a couple of nights?
Thanks Dave

Re: Porsche Museum
On our last tour there we all stayed in one at the back of the museum only a couple of hundred yards away with an underground car park.
Can't remember what it's called but its very tall and walking distance so sure Google will tell you!
Think its this one...

We are planning a road trip in September taking in the Porsche Museum before heading into France. Hope Kit is up for it this time.
I don't have a route planned as yet but all in all will have 10 days to drive and explore.

I can recommend visiting rothenburg if you want a beautiful historic German town. It is about an hour from zuffenhausen

Re: Porsche Museum
I've stayed here the last couple of times – walking distance, clean and inexpensive. Typically around £45 a night.
Hotel Achat Comfort, Wollinstr. 6, Zuffenhausen, 70439 Stuttgart, Germany
Use www.booking.com – it's all you need.

Re: Porsche Museum
If you're going to visit the Porsche museum -and you're in Stuttgart anyway- go and visit the Mercedes Museum also!
Even if you don't like Mercedes it's an unbelievable museum to visit. I guarantee: you won't be disappointed!
If you plan it tight, you could easily visit the Porsche Museum in the morning (and make sure you are there the minute it opens, because you then can photograph all cars without a lot of people standing in the way
), then have lunch in the museum restaurant (wich is very good and not expensive) and then go to the Mercedes Museum and vist that from 13:00 until 18:00...
