Headlight seals on Chesil

Post by felix66 »

hi all

can anyone shed some light (no pun intended!) on replacement headlamp to body seals for a chesil please?

Does it just take the same as a beetle or do I need a different part?

Any help gratefully received.

thanks

almost certain it will be standard beetle stuff.

Thanks. I read the list in the 356 forum of interchangeable parts and got the feeling it was but wanted to check.... my chesil is having some paintwork done for stone chips and I needed two new headlmap seals. I ordered a set form vwheritage and from chesil (amongst other things) and I think chesil have sent me door seals instead! (they are self adhesive and about a metre long - each). Whereas the seals from vwheritage look like the part I was expecting.

thanks again

how much do you want for the door seals, and how much were the headlamp ones. I need some too.

think the headlamp ones were about £9 the pair from www.vwheritage.com

All my seals are with the bodyshop but I don't think they are likely to use the door ones (they didn't ask for them) - If they don't use them - you can have them - I'll stick them in the post
