912 head ache...wanted
looking for a 912 cylinder head that has not been machined ...car is a 67....I have sourced 1 new one and looking to match 616.104.301.03 kok 2 70 volume 61.0....any help appreciated....I have the originals which have been machined,,, pistons catching the valves,,, is it possible to fit a spacer...

I don't know much about 912s but I would have thought you could fit a shim or shims under the cylinder barrell!

Hi ,Depends how much has been machined out? You can get 1mm solid copper shims to fit under the barrels instead of the 0.2mm available from Roger Bray about £6 each. Which pistons and barrels are you using?
