Back home about 9pm! 600 odd miles in 12 hours is quite a long way by early 911, particularly when the 270 France side were in the biblical rain mentioned earlier
Now editing the 4 billion photos down to the 50 I might actually keep over a glass or two of red!
We made it back to Uk this evening and are calling it a day, finish the run to Edinburgh tomorrow but will get 912 transported I think. After fixing the car after fire, thanks Euro Assist, did some tweaking this morning but still have misfire under load and played around the whole way back. Did not like hills.
We had a great time, didn't meet as many DDK's as we intended but we did lose a lot of time with the incidents. Party'd hard though and great chatting to some of you. With both Margaret and I having incidents, independence clearly is not a good idea.
Looking forward to CM 2016 already.
Sorry to hear of your troubles. Despite our best combined efforts we couldn't fix Margaret's car which was immensely frustrating.
I know what it feels like to break down at Le Mans (with a small carb fire!) and get recovered home, no matter how brave the face it's not how you wanted the weekend to pan out!
We stayed at lemans until 5pm today to watch the final grid weather was fantastic this afternoon and great racing. Spirited run cross country where it appeared 4 cameras might have flashed some of our group
Spot on meal in Rouen and now some beer with the Ddk rabble
It sure looked wet when we left LM and Bleu Camping ... I had to reverse back up and take a couple of pics of the soggy campsite and the struggle to fit as many people as possible under that little canopy .
It was great to meet you all and hope you all have a safe trip back !
Heres to bringing something other than the Audi next time
Pics to follow tomorrow ...
Cheers
Hig

When I left circa 11.30 it rained all the way from Le Mans to about 10 mins outside Calais
Back home after a brilliant weekend. Great company, thanks so much guys.
Ridiculous rain on the way home, discovered that it doesn't make 911,s dissolve though. Also learnt that cheap fuses melt their bodies but don't pop. A quick but wet fix us using an old ceramic body with a new conductor proved reliable, remember to tighten wipers properly too...
Nigel and I will especially remember the drive down on those fantastic roads and Arnage at night..... Just got to edit and upload some video footage of chasing Jason, Ian, Mark, and John down and learning how to drive a 911now.
