Hi, from my personal experience ...If you import a vehicle from the states make sure you insure it with a UK company.............I bought a '57 356a a few years ago whilst at the historics at Leguna Seca, the shipping agent was great the problem came when I collected the car----it was damaged---I spent at least £100 on the phone to the american insurance company who eventually wouldn't accept my calls!!!
Always get a UK company to insure your purchase--its a lot easier to go and "sit on someones desk" if they are in the same country as you.
