Thanks Tom, good of you to say. :)
Rather incredibly I've not been down to see the car with paint on it yet. :?
I've had a busy time at work & home of late so I've also been remiss in updating the thread.
Let's try and remedy that. :)

The shell has already been painted - as you've seen earlier - and Nick has done some trial fitting of components and some installation of parts.
However, we didn't want to progress that too far before applying final paint to the outer panels.

There were quite a few parts to prepare for that final painting and most of them survive from the original car.
I've purchased some minor bits from Porsche (or from Nick's stock of secondhand) but - on the whole - we've managed to reuse the bumpers, sill covers, valances, lower bumper quarters, etc.
Early911 blasted them clean for me.

I also saw it in the flesh a few weeks back, it does look great. You'd better get a move on Paul or most of DDK will see it before you do!

Thanks for the compliments guys, I do think the colour is sweet. And stunning. 8)
Ferry Woman however, is even more convinced it's too wild. She claims she won't be seen in it.
I've tried to explain it won't look quite so bright once everything is bolted on.... :)

The oil pipes and thermostat were in bad shape.
The last four decades has taken their toll and it proved difficult to even get them off the car.
Nick managed to get them apart but not everything could be saved.

The thermostat had two stripped threads. I'd need to buy a new one. :(
