Carpets

Post by Old-Bugga »

Apart from Chesil, anybody know who else makes carpets for Speedster replicas? If you do know of others, whats the quality like.

I believe that the Chesil carpets are made using the same material as in the Blenheim range sold by Coverdale.

I have spoken to the guy who runs Spirit of the Fifties ( he does beetle and bus carpets) a couple of times about speedster carpets. He said that he may start doing them in the future.

I managed to get a couple of large pieces of car Carpet when I was up at dubfreeze. I intend to make up my own set on the wife's sewing machine, I just need to sort out a patern !

Ill let you know how I get on

I got some great square weave carpet from Dave @ Soundbound Trimmers for my car, though he had too much work in to cut and edge bind them for me.

The Coverdale carpet (Chesil OEM) isn't very nice IMHO, hence my decision to change carpets.
