Back in the office. Lots of pictures to come!

Just wanted to added that the best moment was when we were in the basement of the place we didn't visit and we walked into a small room which had a rhd 356 cab, 904 gts & something over a cover. Which was revealed to be a 550 Spyder. Nice

Had a great time - thoroughly enjoyed myself, and learned some new words.

On the way there - best looking layby for miles around



Waking up on the ferry to find some interesting parking (all being sorted now)


On the way to the lunchtime stop - Andy's car looks even better on the move (excuse the quality of the video - I was driving at the same time)


Baden-Baden was great (better than Twickenham-Twickenham), but due to an unfortunate incident with a brace of Mojitos I don't ahve many pictures - here's one of my faves from the oldtimer car show


Then off to Stuttgart, passing Bootsy's new car on the way


The hotel appeared to be in a war zone, and had some reservations about the security of the underground garage


Needn't have worried though - nice and cool down there


Off to the museum (don't get excited - s'only a rep)


One wall had let people draw their own 911s, but they had closed it down and put up a notice saying please do not draw on the walls any more


Didn't stop someone though


Sunday night we all went for a meal, and a good time was had by one and all.

Monday was a FULL day. Had a great (secret) trip out in the morning, but managed to help John clear the contents of his stomach on the way (think Jason has pictures)

Afternoon was the factory tour - very interesting and not at all what I was expecting

We were then faced with an evening chillin' in Beirut, followed by a 7-8 hour journey on Tuesday, or breaking the journey up by driving up to Nurburg that evening.

We chose this option. After a motorway was closed our 3 hours journey became a 4 hours journey, and eventually we had to stop. Jason's car wouldn't start so we had to give him a bump start. Then Ian's car wouldn't start.

It's OK - turns out it was something wrong with the car which then wasn't wrong with it. Hey ho.

Made it to Martins hotel in Nurburg later that night. Last still Andy lightweight turned up which was something of a miracle in itself as he had no phone, no map, no gears (for a while) and no idea where he was going.

The next day we turned another 3 hour journey into a 4 hour one by visiting on of the interesting 'adolf hitler' schools. Bit chilling really. Had some unexpectedly fantastic driving during the journey though before we finally settled into the motorway drone.

All in all an excellent trip - the driving, the visits, the banter, the cars, the jagermeister and the people

Well almost home, crossing the Irish Sea now, will have added a little over 2000 miles to the clock by the time I reach my driveway later, but what a blast and a laugh I've had, fantastic trip and one that has many memories that will be hard to forget. (Perhaps one too many Jagermeisters though!)

Great bunch of people, great roads, and great places (vine yards included!) would do it all again in a heart beat

I got home and got the 993 out for a run!

Got home late morning after a round trip of ~1500 miles.

Fantastic trip amongst great company - some renewed friendships & some met for the first time.

It was essentially a 'shakedown' trip for the 904 as I'd only managed ~ 200 miles prior to this weekend &, although there were a few (minor) problems, the car behaved itself on the whole & was a blast to drive - albeit a very hot one cabin-wise !

Apologies to anyone still suffering from hearing loss ....

I was also taken by the 1929 Steel Ford Rod







But there was something for everyone

What a fantastic few days, really enjoyed it.

Thank you all for making the relative newbie who brought the Torrey Canyon feel welcome and a part of the crowd. Especially James for all the organising. Nick who gave me some fags after I was caught short when a sweary c**t blagged all mine. Simon who gave donated oil to see me through and Andy for the sound track.

What a great trip, thank you one and all for making me feel welcome a big thank you to James and Brian for all the hard work and a really BIG Thank you to John for taking me along, and trusting me to drive his immaculate 911 along some of the best roads I've ever driven on....

Another absolutely great tour with some of the best roads I've been on around Baden Baden. Good to get to know a few more people and catch up with familiar faces, such a wonderful relaxing and humorous environment.

Thanks, as many have already said, to James and Brian for organising everything.

Apologies to those who followed me and had to look through a haze of burning oil or a splattered windscreen....although I wasn't the only, or main, culprit for the later
