rock n roll!!!

I'm just fitting a breather setup to mine T4, got the rocker covers and filler neck connected up, what do the hoses to the air filters to? do they make it go faster?? would like to know as any improvement would be cool

Nige,

The air filter hoses create a little bit of negative pressure for the case; There is a perforated screen in the breather between the top two outlets (for the carbs) and the lower four (for the filler and rocker covers) which minimises the oil vapour that finds its way to them. Gain is very marginal on street engine.

Hashman,

Yes, I have upgraded to wide-5 discs all round (from CSP), larger bore M/C, and have a servo. Also have spax shocks, kafer brace (triangulating engine cradle to shock towers), HD transaxle mounts, and front and rear straps transaxle straps.

ahh, so the carbs will actually help to suck the pressure out rather than just a natural release of pressure out of the rockers/oil filler.

I need to put it in basic terms for myself so I can understand

Derek,

Its an IRS built by Cogbox. It has a 3.44 f/d with a 0.93 4th.
Should be ideal with the extra torque of the new Type IV engine.
