I guess they can't accuse me of giving away their "state secrets" if I tell you there is not one, but a choice of 3 mirror styles. The day the photo was taken the car was incompleted [ w/wipers, etc.]. and they were in the process of deciding which mirror style to use [ all period mirrors]. They were also debating whether to fit just driver's side or both [ decisions, decisions ]. Ditto with the side spears - I agree with you, somehow it makes the car look more in proportion. "My" car would definitely have to be fitted with bumper overriders and one of those georgeous luggage racks!
Re: announcement date - I now unerstand it will be sometime in Feb. - but you'll have to wait to get official details from them!

Well I've been and done it [ literally ]. I WAS going to visit Mohr in Germany last weekend to look at a Boxster he had lined up for me - and came away having placed an order for his new 550A rep.
Boy am I in trouble with her indoors. looks like a token 911 targa might have to be found TO KEEP THE PEACE.
For those who have enquired recently [ Old Bugga, etc.], I drove the T6 again - now complete with wipers and mirrors etc. Just as well - there was 10" of snow when I arrived at the airport. The boss of Classic Roadsters was there at the same time, and he seems a very nice bloke - time will tell. He was putting the finishing touches to his order for their UK demonstrator and it was he that twisted my arm [ oh boy, did I resist ] to place the order for the 550. There was also a nice line up of 356 Speedster and Cabriolet kits waiting to be collected by their Swiss agent. I was absolutely amazed when he told me the prices - apparantly the Speedster kit will sell for about £2.5 grand in the UK [ + vat]. Super quality, and at that price quite competitive with the UK regulars.
Now then, could I persuade her indoors to have a T6 instead of a 911?
Oh yes, I blame Mighty Spyder - he sent me some pix of his sensational alloy bodied project.

Classic Roadsters - Where are you!
What’s happened to the promised website from Classic Roadsters? MARTIN, I am LUSTING after the T6, but would dearly love to see some more detailed pictures – I am especially interested in the fit of the Hood and side windows to the screen, as I recently drove an early Chesil in the pouring rain and my knees and lap got soaked - it looked like I had an accident . VERY embarrassing. I saw a Chesil with the wind up windows – no comment, well one – UGLY.
Seriously, this is the one point that I would insist on before putting down any kind of deposit against a purchase. I will HAVE to use this car every day, in the rain as well as the sunnier days. For the same reason I am interested in your claims that there is more luggage space – the Luggage Rack sounds like it will be a must for me anyway as I take my holidays driving on the Continent.
I like the sound of the rack and pinion steering – does this mean it is easier to turn?
Are there any plans for a hard top at any stage? Again because I will use the car every day, that would be a useful option for the Winter.
Anyway pull your finger out Martin and put me out of my misery.

I’ve just seen Jane’s posting. Martin, when I spoke to you recently you said there was a delay in getting the photos for completion of your website – any ideas when? Although I was dithering a bit, I’ve now decided that the T6 has all the makings of what I want to see in a replica. At first I wasn’t certain about the shape compared to the Speedster, but now I’ve done some research in various books I have to say the T6 looks like a “real” car. Somehow the Speedster looks like a “kit car”. Maybe I’ve seen too many Kits and not enough real ones!
I particularly like the idea of the wind up windows that were actually designed for the car and not stuck on as an afterthought – that’s the real Kit Car giveaway. I wasn’t sure about the windscreen at first, either but again on doing my research the Speedster looks too short rather than the T6 looking too tall – if you follow me! This car will be my ONLY car and it has to be practical for every day use - I have a motorbike if I want to get wet. Can you send me some more photographs? I don’t mind if they are not professional, I just want to check out the details. When do you think your demo car will be completed? Hi Bootsy, Jane and fellow forum members.
I started to put together a response to Jane and then realised that I needed to make an apology to a wider audience as well!! As a result, I am therefore posting my apologies to you nad others who are eagerly awaiting the publication of our website.
I recently went to visit Mohr to sign/exchange business contracts and to take some professional photos of the various products and business premises for inclusion on our website and also for our hard copy brochures. The business partnership is now officially go.
I arrived to be greeted by 10” of snow!! The worst the region had encountered for 15 years. Not only did this put paid to our planned photo shoot, but also precluded any thought of a visit to the Heyda workshops some 400 kms away or to Switzerland to finalise the contracts for another exciting range of products that will be formally announced soon (Weather permitting!)
The delay in obtaining the photos has had a rollover effect on the publication date of the website. I can only apologise for the delay, and ensure the many people that have enquired about our products – that it WILL be worth the wait! We did NOT want to publish the website with sub-standard photos that would have to be replaced.
I hope you all understand and I confirm that the website WILL be published within the next 4 weeks – hope “Old Bugga”, Shona, Marvin, Steve, Alastair and many others can bear the wait.
