Reminds me of Branson's quote about being a millionaire in the airlines business, start out a billionaire & buy an airline! Clearly we all drank the 'cool aid' & are spending evenings on web forums because it isn't financial speculation because there are easier ways to make a living but this contributes to our lives.

Quite right - now I come to think about it, if I had carefully invested every penny I have spent over the last 25 years on Porsches I probably would have a million pounds!

As for my car, I have been outbid on the one I was after so am not selling the S. The new car wasn't orange or a Porsche - so serves me right. Thanks for all the PMs - lots of expressions of interest and the market certainly looks buoyant!

Wow, this has been an illuminating thread to read. It wasn't that many years ago that I bought my RHD, original silver, 2.2S and have driven the old girl like I stole it every time I have driven it. Upgrade to 2.3ST twin plug on the original engine aside, I've had to do nothing but service her each year, and by my calculations based on this thread I've made money on the car every time I've driven it :) Of course, as my wife points out, you have to sell it to realise the gain, and I'd sooner stick wasps up my arse, but it's nice to know - as was mentioned though, on a cold morning at 7k the sound from that short stroke motor is PRICELESS!

Something we're all burdened with! I'm keen to sell my share to fund a 2.2S - any takers? On the other hand, maybe my voting stock will allow me to veto the absurd bonuses??

I absolutely echo everything Steve says (except I have owned mine longer and haven't done the engine upgrade) - but those wasps don't half make my eyes water

I'm probably mistaken, Feroz, but didn't Mr. Moss have that car on his stand at Hedingham a few years back? Certainly a similarly coloured car and there can't be too many of those around.

1 x '67S, 3 x 2.4S all RHD

A privilege & pleasure to have owned them all.

I think that's the 'Light Grey' car that Nick Moss painted last year ...

I may have missed Headingham that year or just forgotten (old age creeping up on me). Should be a nice job if it is Mr Moss's work. Pretty car.
