79 days to Classic Le Mans

Post by Ferry Man »

Yes, the Olympics will be brilliant but so too will CLM.
Not long now... :)

Actually, I'm surprised no one has organised an official DDK T-shirt.

Let the countdown begin!

I was with Brendan having a bite to eat last night and we were both chatting about how much we were looking forward to it.

As for the t-shirt - I'm never one to miss the opportunity for a plug! http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewto ... =1&t=38421

By the way, I got my email yesterday from the Porsche Club France to say my order for tickets, laps etc. had been validated and they will see me there - hopefully anybody else who ordered through them should be receiving the same

This year is my first time at CLM, after years of things like weddings and house renovation getting in the way.
Excited doesn’t quite do it justice.
Although I’ve had my car for 5 years this will be the first proper road trip in it (Hopefully).

My car needs a lot of work to get back on the road in time. Suspension pan, floor repairs among other bits and bobs.
I’m optimistic...at the moment :naka:

Can't wait :)

No MOT on the car at the moment and I think I'll be researching wheelchair hire for Glenn to push me around once he has driven me there ;)

So, James - assuming you get your car up and running - how many folks from DDK do you think are camping at the circuit?
I know Nick Moss has a dozen of us in the chateau + all the DDK troop camping at the circuit + maybe a few other DDK'ers doing their own thing?

What could the final tally be? How many cars?

I have booked two large camping plots on Maison Blanch , the same as 2010 . Going with 19 others and a few DDKers included, look out for the Porsche flags. Can't wait , hope the weather is as good as last year but maybe a little cooler !!!!

I thought about going to this. Am I too late to organise it? What is involved? I must admit I'm not sure keen on camp but maybe Mrs B would be keen too.

Neil, you're not too late to book anything. There are still camping spaces available if you want to camp with other DDK's & tickets etc are available.

See all the details in the members area section ( pm Bootsy if you have sent off your membership but don't have access to the members section yet ).

I believe there might also be a room available at the chateau (if you wanna go posh  )?

I'm afraid not. The chateau is plein.

There are 19 in our group, of which 8 are DDKers, but all Porsche owners
