Hi Thomas,

A couple of questions. Is the buyer's premium 10% or higher for the Automobilia? Will a US buyer pay VAT on any items won in the auction? Lastly, does this auction house offer online bidding and/ or viewing? Thanks much.:)

My understanding is that the buyer's premium is 16% plus VAT on the Automobilia which comes to 19%. I don't think it is deductible for non EC buyers, but you should check with the auction house directly.

The full catalogue should be online a few weeks before the auction. If you cannot attend the sale physically, you can leave written bids, or set up a telephone line (they'll call you on the lots you're interested in). The bidding will occur in Euros.

Thanks for your interest!

Thomas

Received my copy of the catalogue this morning - a fabulous book in its own right & well worth the money.

I think they might have been using up their stock of stamps ...

Was going to get one at 10 euro but at 30+ euro its starting to add up.

Milou is it possible to order multiple copies to make the postage more reasonable or is it set at 22 euro for every copy?

What would they charge for 5 or 10 copies if we did a group buy of them?

wish I wasn't so honest

I paid my 10 euros earlier in thw week .... after hearing about the postage costs realised I had assumed wrongly postage was included ... contacted them yesterday & paid an extra 22 euros  .......... and today my catalogue has arrived in the post !!! So I could have got away without paying the extra

Anyway ... the book is superb in its own right , a nice record of a Porsche collection . Well worth the money

I received my catalogue today and spent an enjoyable couple of hours reading it in garden with the sun shining 8)

What a fabulous book in its own right, beautifully designed with great photos and very well put together - truly worthy of the many wonderful contents inside.

Heartbreaking indeed to dispose of such a delightful collection - personally I would have opted to build a bigger garage!

The best of luck with the sale Milou.

I'm really glad you like the catalogue. Leaving the garage was very difficult indeed and when I see the catalogue I wish I was still in my "collecting" days

It helps thinking I could purchase an older Porsche with the proceeds, perhaps a 356 or possibly a Carrera 2, I think I'm ready for an early model.

I also imagine myself a few years down the road, someone asking me if I had any regrets selling the cars..... I would walk them over the barn, open the door, and pull the cover off this one  :

Went to the Techno Classica yesterday, although for the first time I was a seller....

Edmond Harris (again!) was selling near NOS SWB Porsche mud flaps.....Damn, I have been searching for a pair for years in vain...so for old times sake I bought them:rolleyes:

I think I'll mount them on the 911S.

Lots of great cars, but I was particularly impressed by an unrestored one-owner 1966 911:
