Parade laps ... email Brian urgently .. he might be able to get you one as part of a non Porsche track lap session ... otherwise, you'll need to get them via Porsche Club France ( they have monopoly on Porsche track laps .. no one else can supply Porsche drivers with laps

I'm not going to bother with Parade laps this year - 3 times is enough.
But yes, when the Porsche Club France release their packages you can buy them through their site - not the easiest site to use but you'll get there!

Did Brian sort your laps for you? I asked him when I booked a month or so ago and I thought (could be wrong) that he mentioned the porsche club france thing as being the only way.hot66 wrote:Parade laps ... email Brian urgently .. he might be able to get you one as part of a non Porsche track lap session ... otherwise, you'll need to get them via Porsche Club France ( they have monopoly on Porsche track laps .. no one else can supply Porsche drivers with laps)

Key thing in the post is:
Porsche ones will be through Porsche Club France.hot66 wrote:he might be able to get you one as part of a non Porsche track lap session .

ahh, thanks Thomas.I hadnt appreciated the distinction. So, if I want to drive round with fellow ddk-ers do I need to book through Brian or wait for the Porsche club france option?Bootsy wrote:scalino65 wrote:Did Brian sort your laps for you? you'll probably find not many DDK'ers are doing the tracklaps. Most have done them before, & whilst it's one of those things you HAVE to do at some point, it's not really needed to be done every time. I've done them in 2004 & 2006 & not bothered since. If you want to do them, you'll also need in field parking pass too. Brian has access to some laps & I do know some of thsoe are also Porsches, but later cars. PCF tickets are available from 1st April I gather.
You'll find most DDK'ers driving the road parts of the circuit on Thurs / Fri before they close the roads
We also try & have a mass meet on Friday morning at the 2nd chicane for our CLM photo

OK. Many thanks for the info. I have never done them before but always regret it when I see people going out. As you say, has to be done once...hot66 wrote:you'll probably find not many DDK'ers are doing the tracklaps. I'm going to try a proper panorama photo taken from the middle of the chicane this year as there are just too many cars for one shot!

Great - Is that one of those old school type photos where naughty school boys can try to appear at both end of the photo as it sweeps past ?Gary71 wrote:a proper panorama photo
Maybe we could try it with a car as well to add an adult element to the school photo theme ???

hi,
I'm coming to this all a bit late - common problem of mine
anyone know of a relatively ok hotel for myself and my non camping wife to stay in - I don't want to go overboard on the price, but at the same time I don't want to be stuck in some dodgy makeshift bed and breakfast set up just for the weekend.
Personally I'd like to do the camping thing, but frankly that'll never wash ( excuse the camping pun ) with the wife !!
thanks
Disco.

Hi all
Don't know how many of you will remember me from 2010?
Was with my 2 sons and didn't socialise much, always difficult with kids!
We camped with DDK at Karting du Nord with my 95 VW Dehler camper and White/green 1974 2.7 carrera which was driven up for us by a friend camping offsite.
This year looks like no kids and as yet no driver for Porsche so will be me and camper ,pitch already sorted by Brian.
The upside is that I'll be able to concentrtate on four days of documenting the European classic Porsche culture (inspired by Bob Tiltons werkcrew book) to compliment the work I've been doing on this in southern France for the last year or so-I'm a photographer.
So will be grateful for any help , who better to star in this than DDK?
Is always poss that may still have friend bringing 911 up so will be able to do track laps, go to dinner in Arnage, go out to Arnage corner at midnight etc., otherwise will need lifts from some obliging DDK er.
In return, I'm a Porsche club France member so should easily access tracklaps, paddock access etc. once their site opens on April 1st.
Look forward to meeting many more of you this year!

Hi Clive,anglophone1 wrote:otherwise will need lifts from some obliging DDK er.
It's highly unlikely that my 2.4E resto will be ready in time so will probably be there in a black 993, the passenger seat is free so look out for me if you get stuck. Look forward to meeting up.
Cheers,
Darren
