Grandstand Tickets -

Just wondered what the concensus on Grandstand tickets is ?

2 years ago I got 2 grandstand tickets after advice from someone about it being a good insurance policy in case of bad weather. Seemed to make sence especially with by better half in attendance.
As it turned out the weather was scorching. Just as well because the grandstand ticket I got through 1st Tickets was a scaffold built seating area which was open to the elements right at the end of the permanent grandstands near the start of the main straight.

I certainly wouldn't be getting those again as they were no use in either rain or the scorcing weather we had.

I was going to ask Brian to confirm what exactly the £25 grandstand tickets price was for this year.

Anyone else planning on getting grandstand tickets ?
Any comments/advice welcome ?

To be honest, Grandstand tickets have never been needed in the past as you could usually find an open grandstand during the night racing etc .... during the day I've always been else where around the circuit.

Although, saying that, I've booked Grandstand tickets for the ACO T18/T17 .. these are the ones opposite the pits & have toilets & a cafe in them .

They can only be booked from certain places and are difficult to find. Previously I've got them from Team Langoustine, but this year have sourced them via a Triumph TR club . The other way is to become an ACO member & book direct.

No idea what 'ACO T18/T17' means but all sounds very posh for a camping trip !!

I've booked the one through 1st tickets (T19), so I can stare longingly at James next door in T18 with his shiny toilet....:)

Contacted Brian today but he doesn't have any T19 grandstand tickets left, so he is trying to get some more.
I assume T19 is a proper covered grandstand unlike the temporary scaffold affair I got last year :(
