I'm also a great fan of the 2CV - went all over Europe with a girlfriend in her Dyane ... & remember cursing the inboard front drum brakes when having to rebuild them at the roadside in the Pyrenees !
The person who most surprised me when I discovered that he was a 2CV enthusiast/fan/owner was Russell Edmonds !

I am surprised and delighted about the interest on ddk in the 2cv/diane.
Although I do not really want another one I loved my time with them.

an ex of mine had one and i used to love the challenge of the gearshift.. great fun cars, although work so much better in france; my godmother has one of the 2cv vans at their house down there which is an awesome device for popping down to the shops or the vineyard. I've never felt so french in my life!

A madman setting off to drive 200 miles from us back home to Avon yesterday. He didn't bring any gloves.

Exceptional knowledge.
We took it in from Neil in a bit of a deal with a Bentley Arnage we had last week, but he obviously hasn't changed his site yet. It sold yesterday to a chap who lives a few miles from Fender Broad.

After six polishes it was actually a really nice car and surprisingly great fun to drive.
Nope no heater.
Note the complimentary PS hat and my gloves, which I've got a feeling were a present from the wife at some stage.

It was the Don 'LAW' number plate that gave it away
How did it handle? I've sat in the ex. Fangio C-type but Derek wouldn't let me out for a test drive. I think he thought I wasn't a serious enough customer
So Neil's now the proud owner of an Arnage?
