Are fenderless cars still illegal in the UK? When I was into rods as a teenager that was the big drawback - you couldn't run them without some sort of mudguard. Is that still the case or have things changed?911hillclimber wrote:You lot deaf!?

I see more and more of them today.
When I was in my Ford Y type in the early 70's a few tried to run without fenders, esp my mates in their T buckets, and all got done.
I had red lights under my fenders (yes, embarrassing I know) and got done.
So, fenders or not...
Seems it was a lot stricter somehow but we did so many mods to anything nobody seemed to care but open wheels was a no-no!
Very happy days from 73 to 87 then I bought my 911 which would today be a hot rod of sorts like my Lola is too!
