Hi DDK!

As in my introduction mentioned, a buddy and me will visit the classic le mans 2012.
Our plan ist to do the 800 km's in two days. And for this reason i search for an nice accomodation round about 200 km's away from le mans.
Do you have any suggestions?

Another question for the experienced DDK-people:
Which camping-site, which grandstands, what kind of ticket????

Any help is welcome!

Thank's a lot!

Porstmouth–Caen. Wednesday 4th July, 2012. Departure time: 22:00pm (arrive 6.45am, Thursday 5th)
Caen-Portsmouth. Monday 9th July 2012. Departure time: 16:30pm (arrive 21.15pm)

I paid £278 (+£5 credit card booking fee) with a cabin on the outbound crossing, sleeper chair upon return leg.
They only take a £25 deposit at this stage.

Cheers, Paul.
They're quoting that as a ONE WAY fare right now!

daft prices for anyone that is looking to book this route now :( Luckily those that booked early got the better rates.

I'm heading via the tunnel 8)

All the pricing for DDK CLM camping & travel packages will be up on the 1st-tickets website approx end of next week ( once the Autosport show is out of the way). The travel packages will be for cross channel only, either tunnel or ferry. Camping only , tickets only etc will also be available.

The most important thing is the DDK camping tickets via 1st-tickets , as this ensures we all camp together on Karting Nord in the club camping area. :)

Camped last time with DDK [even though I have an IB, the white/green 74 carrera] as I had two driver so could bring both 911 and my 1995 VW dehler camper up from southern France.
This year only one driver, so thinking of staying in a shared chateau type accom [may have La Boss with me] offsite, anyone got anything/going/to recomend?

After the initial excitment and a feasible deadline to get my car finished, it looks like this year is a no go for me.....family holidays have won over, and a well worded argument for a family holiday at Karting Nord has fallen on deaf ears :(

Look forward to seeing all the pics :)
