VERY Non Porsche - Seat Arosa TDI (!)

Post by East Coast Dave »

Another step on the financial journey back to Porsche ownership....

An unlikely contender here on ddk, but one of you might know someone interested?

2001 Seat Arosa 1.4 TDI. FULL SERVICE HISTORY

MOT to August 2012, Tax to May 2012 (£35 for the year)

2 owners, good condition for year.
149,000 miles - which is less than half the life of these great little diesel engines, especially when the servicing is as good as this one.

Cam belt service at 141k, and previously at 67k

19 stamps in the service book - see photos

Economical - up to 64mpg! I regularly get 57mpg on a 70 mile commute on dual carriageways, keeping up with traffic.
Gutsy little 1.4 PD TDI gives 75bhp which makes it surprisingly nippy.

Interior in great condition.

BAD BITS: (electric)driver's window does not work - think it needs a new switch. Windscreen cracked, low down in centre and not in driver's view. Boot lid scratched (see photo). Drivers side front wing starting to show rust on wheel arch (see photo)

Would make an ideal first car - cheapto run, fun to drive and ok looking.

Looking for £2k. Sounds rich? These cars are not that common, and very cheap to run - 10k miles per year at £100/mth including fuel, tax and insurance. It took me a while to find this one. Don't be put off by the mileage.
