I've been a Porsche nut for a long time. Recently years back I got into my first Porsche. A 924. It's been a trackday project. I got a 944 for my daily since I found it quite practical and handled quite well with all the luxuries a daily driver needed.
But something was missing... I wanted to get to the aircooled side of Porsche and start enjoying them and learning more about them. I started the hunt for an old 914 or an old 911. I'm all about vintage and old classics.
I searched for months and months and months - I found countless old 911 cars but they all needed a ton of work. I found tons and tons of old 914s, all of them needed tons of work.
One day I got an email from a fellow who was local to me who had one for sale. I went and took a look at it and from moment one was stunned at how well preserved it had been. He was very meticulous and careful to ensure the car was preserved with the appearance it should be from the correct year and options and look and feel. Granted a few things here and there.
He was the 2nd owner... I would be the 3rd. Just over 100,000 miles on it and the only option was the radio. It was an original barebones 914 non-appearance group. Really nice car. I couldn't say no.
The original owner used to ship it over for tours to have fun with it on his off time in the service. A few of the original stickers were left on it for sentimental value. Original interior, radio, and the paint on almost the entire car is still the original paint (granted the rocker panels and a few spots were touched up over the years).
Anyway - hope you all enjoy
