Good price on MSD

Post by mycar »

Demon Tweeks are offering to relieve you of £315 + p&p for a 6AL.

Where as, X S Power are selling 6ALs for £180 0n Ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MSD-6AL-Multiple- ... 41538374d9

With the money you save, buy a cheap flight to Greece and pick up the coil and tach adapter you`ll need, in person.

Yiamas.

And you'll need to get the pack of rev limiter chips as well.

£180 is a good price, I'd still have a look at the US market, the £1 = 1.60 US at the minute and get a 6AL-2 with an adjustable limiter built in, and it's a tad smaller.

Remember you need the black shock resistant coil not the red one.

Thanks Mike, good points, specially the high vibration coil that can be mounted anywhich way.

Researching MSD installation over three forums is a lengthy business. Take the key words MSD, kettering, Pertronix, 67S, 68S, Magnecor, coil, tach adapter, etc. etc and pair them up to search, gives you a bewildering selection of threads that are often incomplete as the authors complete their installations and don`t need any more help.

I think I`ve got my head around it... time will tell.

I have the installation guide that was on Pelican, I think, which is very good, made my installation very straightforward, if you PM me your email, I'll forward it to you.

Andy

The tale of the MSD installation is here

http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewto ... hlight=msd

Nice installation, comes with a very comprehensive instruction book, you don't need to buy the rubber mounting set as there is one in the kit and get the black vibration-proof coil, not the red one.
Cheers
