White 911 RS - tunbridge wells

Post by mullerice »

Tunbridge Wells seems to be a favourite place to drive an early 911 these days - I'm beginning to lose count!

Saw a lovely RS - not sure if genuine or not - the plate ended in '911'. It looked lovely and sounded brill :drunken:

You will have spotted us in a lovely example of a 2003 seat ibiza ;)

By the way, I don't think was Ollie Crossthwaite's car, which I've seen before in the same area - today's one had black decals

I was about to suggest Ollie's car, Adam, but I don't think it has a '911' plate??? I'll keep an eye out for this one though - sounds like a good 'un. :)

i'm out and about in mine on occassion in the 'wells' , but preferably under the cover of darkness. the other week one bloke shouted across the forecourt at st johns shell garage ''nice replica mate'' which made me chuckle.

Mr. Seawise,

Should you ever feel inclined I'm in 'the wells' most weekends and would love to meet up for some photos of your yellow RS next to my yellow S (cover of darkness is fine by me!)

Not like a date or anything though...

Sounds very much like it to me  .

Sam, I'm very much liking the above: what is it? (No points for saying 'a 911' ).

If Oliver and Steve start these late night meets, I might just have to tell their respective partners

It's a replica, based on a Beetle with an Alfa engine.

Not really. A Gemini Blue 73 2.4 S with a lairy 2.7 MFI motor and lightweight interior. Not a show car, but a hoot to drive and was brilliant value for what it is IMHO.

It was so pretty we went straight out and got another one just like it. :)

Hi Adam, it's chassis 0624 in Light Ivory with a rallye exhaust, hence the noise.
