Pair of 2.2S Models

Post by sdelan »

Afternoon All -

I was perusing an old copy of 911 Porsche World magazine last night and noticed these 2 "very desirable" 2.2Ss were listed for sale.

It was from Jan 09

They're now with Coys. Why aren't they selling !??!

I noticed them before and raised it here

All three cars were listed as sold, but have then reappeared at their next auction!!

I think the comments of others on Coys record, appear to bear some weight !!
Cheers

Mike

I've noticed these advertised everywhere for the last 18 months too. Was never quite sure where they were - I think the orange one is pictured (possibly on its holidays) in Monaco. Are they now at Coys in Richmond?
Has anyone actually seen them in the flesh? They both looked very nice in the pics.

The blue car shows tell tale signs of a more in depth restoration than the advert leads you to believe. When the car was first advertised a long time ago it was suggested that there was very little in the way of restoration and now I see there is at least an admission of 'lower body attention'. I also have never really been quite sure if the car is in the UK for inspection or resides abroad. It seems to be a similar story with the other one....the photos suggest it is abroad too.

Regards
Mike

I think they are too expensive for the condition. He is looking for circa £40k.

There are some mint 'S' in the states for sale that are not moving at $70k.
