Porsche 914 Project Wanted

Post by MikeH »

I'm in no great rush, but I want to put out feelers for a 914 project.

I'm aiming to build a 914/6 trackday/weekend toy. I'm not fussed about interiors, although I'm prepared to buy a whole car and ebay the bits I don't need. I'm not frightened of a bit of welding (although it does help if there's something left to weld to). I'm not looking for a concours example, but something basically sound and straight is a good place to start.

Tax exempt would be a bonus, but in the whole scheme of things, the tax disc isn't a big part of the cost.

What have you got in your driveway / garage / barn that you're starting to admit you'll never get round to restoring, or even a running car that you just don't have the time to use and maintain properly?

I'm based in the South East of England, but I've got family in the north of Scotland, so I drive the length of the country a few times a year. I'm prepared to travel to look at cars. Photos and accurate descriptions are always helpful though.
