As a starting point I'm sure we all agree it is gob-smackin'

That screen corner must have taken ages to do, but so good to see this kind of work, fab.

Interesting place to start in the jigsaw- why there?
Is it to tie the top parts together and work down and finish with the floor edges rather than build from the floor up?

This will be a great thread to follow.

Wish Barry would get a move-on, I'm impatient for the next move..

I restored my basketcase 911T 22 years ago and it is ready for a bare metal re-paint. I'm sure to find some 'adventures' when it is bare again, so these threads are a treat for me.

Great thread, I knew early 911's could rust but my goodness what a job to do and how well you are doing it. I thought 356's were a problem but I obviously had no idea!

Several of the new panels supplied by Porsche require backdating so they are correct for early cars, this includes: for example the outer sills, the inner rear wings, inner front wing and the A-post.

Hi,

Things are progressing well.

The inner roof rails are no longer available so they had to be made.

There has been a huge amount of parts made for the car eg.

Plus the lower corner section

Engine work is going well.

The original heads are fully refurbished

Plus a brand new set of 2.2S Mahle barrels and Pistons

Thought about progress on this car only last night. Please to see it is still flowing along.
Just love this 'I'll make a bit' approach rather than spend spend spend.

Looking forward to the tin being welded in.( and the roof part of the re-build)
