As a starting point I'm sure we all agree it is gob-smackin'

That screen corner must have taken ages to do, but so good to see this kind of work, fab.

Interesting place to start in the jigsaw- why there?
Is it to tie the top parts together and work down and finish with the floor edges rather than build from the floor up?

This will be a great thread to follow.

Agreed, this is a superb thread - the quality of work is fantastic

Wish Barry would get a move-on, I'm impatient for the next move.. :albino:

I restored my basketcase 911T 22 years ago and it is ready for a bare metal re-paint. I'm sure to find some 'adventures' when it is bare again, so these threads are a treat for me.

Graham, don't worry, things are a little further forward than you might have thought. Suffice to say that screen corner is by no means the first job :wink: .

I'll have a word with Alan and see if he'd like me to post some pics up: just to give you an idea, I think I've sent over 400 so far :shock: .

Great thread, I knew early 911's could rust but my goodness what a job to do and how well you are doing it. I thought 356's were a problem but I obviously had no idea!

Several of the new panels supplied by Porsche require backdating so they are correct for early cars, this includes: for example the outer sills, the inner rear wings, inner front wing and the A-post.

Thought about progress on this car only last night. Please to see it is still flowing along.
Just love this 'I'll make a bit' approach rather than spend spend spend.

Looking forward to the tin being welded in.( and the roof part of the re-build)
