917-style Shift Knobs

Hi Steve,

I don't know if they're they same thickness as a 915 shifter.

Anyone else know?

Jamie can I get one of these? If I'm not too late I'd like one please.

I was just wondering how the hell I'd fit it to a G50 and then read my earlier post. Don't know who the hell wrote it but it sounds like a good idea. Anyway - deffo want one if poss

Bert - have a look at my comments on the G50 box - it's just a guess but I reckon it will work.

Which Wevo 'shaft' will you be having sir? the classic? - all depends how the knob fits on

No, this one. I think it will look ace with the wooden gearknob.

Depends on how thick the spindle is that the existing knob goes onto - if it's not too thick you could thread the outside of that with a die, and then tap a corresponding hole in the bottom of the knob (probably after filling whatever hole's there already with some sort of resin)

BTW Jamie - do you (or anyone else for that matter) have any pics of the original knobs? I'd be interested to see how they've weathered. I've tried searching but today Google was not my friend
