Long time no see !!
Been busy building the pedal box interface to 911 floor and linkages .
A few snaps before it goes off to the platers.

Go and look at about ten ! Talk to owners - ask what they would change to improve / do away with. Take best ideas from all where relevant.
I'm 970 hrs into historic car - current est is 1250 hrs + ... but if you can start with a good shell you are well down the path.
What do you want info on ??

have done ,had lots of info off paul (PSD)just after as much info as poss. drgs to make a few things ,ie pedal box ,as an engineer, and half yorkshire man ,i would like to make bits than pay what i think are silly prices ,unilke fords theres no build books for building 911rally cars, its all kept quiet buy the big outfits,
any info on suspension sets ups for forest and tarmac would be great, it will be used to do the bhrc, so it full on
cheers db
Pedal Box : My plan is to keep it realy simple , and replace Porsche's one master cylinder with two side by side. Weld boss for balance bar to existing pedal , reinforce where necessary.
Keeps weight (what there is) low and forward - pushing forces are in correct original direction , why does nobody else do it this way ??????
Maybe I will find out - issues are space (clearance to steering rack is tight) , semi major work to floorpan in that area to create landing point for cylinders. 2 short AP cylinders are ordered (with offset flanges ref ground clearance) - will then get plates lazer cut for mounting cylinders to and for recreating subassy on inside of car. Then get cutting and welding. Cost - very little.
Hmm ?????
Suspension and set up - all very changable and adjustable - just follow normal "rules" (spring - ie torsion bars, as soft as possible - damping as "hard" as possible) ... go try , adjust and repeat cycle. No hard rules since cars weight and distribution different , and most importantly what people like in a car handling wise differs .... one man's meat ... etc
have fun !

Well said, have fun and don't be too constrained by traditionalist thinking.
I too persued modifying my original box but I just couldn't make it work, doen't mean someone else can't and my design has yet to be proven in this application.
