exhaust options

Post by Flat 4 »

Does someone have a list of exhaust options for the 12 (with pics would be good)? I quite like the 911 set up below. I am currently running a bursh which is ok juts a bit run of the mill.

Get yourself to Turbo Thomas in Redditch he'll make you want you want in stainless steel at a very reasonable price. I think he made the one in the bottom picture.

won't you have to cut into your new shiny panel though  What will Tel say!

I quite like those Sebring style ones myself, or maybe a twin centre outlet looks pretty meaty.

I'll see what pics I can find...

Me too, even if only from an aural point of view. I still vivdly remember the rumbles from Cubists rear end reverberating through me. That is a whole other story though

Its like you've found a long lost brother Cubist or that limb that had to be removed has been miraculously re-attached. You and Fraser are like the Little and Large, no, no! the Dick and Dom of DDK

They are a thing of beauty though, I bought one and tubes for my 356 that I never actually drove!

I sold it to defender47 and it was his (now sold) 356a

They do sound wonderful.

Mine's gorgeous at peak revs and changed note when I dropped the exchangers and bolted up the matching stainless j-pipes... that is when the bloody things not in pieces across various benches!

Just established that my exhaust has cracked and is in bad shape. A shame since it was sounding good before.

What can you guys recommend for a replacement?

I want it stainless and as big and loud as possible!

thanks

Its not stainless as I have heard that the internals can be difficult to get correct for good gas flow......only what I have heard

I am going for a 356 sports exhaust, should be fitted next week, so I will post some pics. Gives two large diameter pipes just below the number plate panel (no need to cut).

looks very similar to the exhaust on this 356

Also similar to this 911 exhaust but wth stainles tail pipes.
