Oil Tanks

Post by pauladev »

Tried the PCGB Tech Forum with no response so far, so don't let me down!! Would a 1983 SC oil tank be compatible with and fit into a 1969 911T 2.0l? I have searched my manuals, and it is hard enough to find a picture of an oil tank let alone info on when designs were changed. I think the '72 tank was different, but it reverted in 1973, and not sure when or if it was further modified.

Oil tanks

Post by theorangeperil »

My car is a 69 T too and I have an SC oil tank fitted. I think the inner wing required modification but exactly what was involved I don't know as it was done by Gantspeed before I bought the car. My understanding is that it was a mod well worth doing...
