FRIDAY 11th SEPT Accommodation - DDK C2C BOOKING DETAILS

Post by hot66 »

FRIDAY 11th SEPTEMBER

Its been a battle, but I've now got us somewhere for Friday night.

For Friday we are booking BED & BREAKFAST ONLY . Because people will be arriving at different times it is easier to book you food seperatly. Some will want to eat en-route to the lakes & others will like to eat at the hotel. Either way, that can be sorted by yourselves nearer the time.

So, for Friday night I have booked us in here :

http://www.swanhotel.com/welcome.cfm

01539 531681

They have offered us standard double rooms @ £99.00 / ROOM Bed & Breakfast for 2 people.

There are also Luxury Suites availble for an extra £50

They have put aside 30 rooms for us + suites. These rooms are only being held for a couple of weeks.

You MUST phone them & book your rooms ASAP.

Speak to any of the girls on reception & quote :

DDK 11-09

or if you're having trouble also mention classic Porsches &/or James Charnley. If there are any problems refer to Lindsay :)

Bring your swimming cosies ;)

For reference , The Swan hotel is about 1 hour south from St Bees.

The plan is for the 1st cars to start leaving St Bees around 9.30 - 10am.

I'm expecting a 'staggered' start. 30+ cars heading over the hard knott pass will be interesting

I've driven past it lots ( there's a nice road up along windermere) , but I've never been in  Its always busy & a great place to have a drink, relax, look at boats etc

If anyone can make it, it would be well worth coming up as early as possible on Friday so you can spend the day in the Lakes prior to getting to the hotel.

Heston Blumenthal`s taken over Little chefs, so things will be fine. They do have lark on the menu. (poached in liquid nitogen at your table and served on a bed of hay)
