Curious to see what other classics DDK'ers have tucked away in their garages or what tickles you fancy ? Non Porsche only
From a classic point of view, I've only ever had VW or Porsches on the road, but did start off with a marina pick-up, moggy minor & a triumph herald, allthough to be fair non were roadworthy
If I was to add another classic to my garage which wasn't a Porsche & wasn't big money I quite like
Well I have the Merc as you know as I just fancied some thing different and I felt that where under estimated.
But as for a wish list I have always fancied a Jag E type the racer type one. But I wouldn't own one for long just a year or so..
Alfa's they have been on my list for a while to be honest I do like Alfa's and I keep an eye out from time to time Love Andy's one he has got..But I know of about 8 Early Alfa's all convertables in a lock up in California and when I was introduced to the owner we spoke and he knew I had a pasion for old cars he said there and then your welcome to buy one when your ready.. I just may take him up on that in a few years.
Other than that it's the good old Ghia ( Karmann )
1935 Leyland Cub platform lorry. Direct injection 6 cylinder ante-chamber diesel engine (a system Porsche have just adopted in their new engines). The first ever such engine: advantages at the time were a much smoother running diesel over the opposition and a massive mpg advantage. Crash box and coach built cab and body.
Regards
Mike

I've owned ~ 100 cars & for the past 25 years have nearly always had at least one Italian car - usually an Alfa or a Lancia.
Big Healeys & Frogeye Sprites are both great cars (with very different characters). I've had 2 Healeys - a 6-cylinder 100/6 & a 4-cylinder 100/4 & I'd love to own one again sometime.
Currently have my '59 Alfa Giulietta Sprint Veloce (which I hope to get round to racing one of these days (but probably not until next year ...) :
- also a fan of '50's/'60's Lotus cars & would love to own a Climax-engined Elite but alas they now seem to be out of reach. Always fancied owning a Lotus Seven & was looking for one of the 'Prisoner' Caterhams but they rarely come up for sale so I bought this basic model as I wanted something that was close to the original Lotus 7 inspiration :

That Giulietta is just simply beautiful. I think the colour also adds to it's gorgeous lines. Don't know if it would be just so stunning in red or white (which I am presuming most were).

Too many projects means it currently resides in Esssex !!

I had a couple of Alfa 105 Coupes and really enjoyed them.
Would also see a Caterham as great fun and not too much money.
Always wanted to own the 80's touring / rally cars - M3, Quattro,, Integrale, 2.3-16 Merc as a more 'modern' option. Rally car - great for the Yorkshire lanes
