Orginal number plate from Waldegård/Helmers car.

Two cars from Scania-Vabis (Porsche Sweden) took part in Monte Carlo Rally 1968. It was 911T with 160 h.p. The cars was registrated in Dec 12, 1967. Andersson/Svedberg car had ch number 11820421 and Waldegård/Helmer car had 11820422. They used the cars in two rallies, Monte Carlo and KAK-Rally (Swedish Rally). Scania Vabis sold the cars summer 1968. They was bought by racing drivers who used them in track events.

Scania Vabis AB (Porsche Sweden) registrated two more Porsche 911
Feb 1, 1968. Thats was two 911L with Rallye-ausrustung (german) or Rally kit in english. Reg number was BB 4200 (Waldegård/Helmer) and BB 4300 (Andersson/Svedberg). Scania Vabis AB used them for rallis in Sweden and England ( Gulf and RAC Rally). Scania Vabis sold the cars Feb 1969.

Nice collection of rally 911s. Iam building a 912 67 stage rally car and intend to replicate Zasadas car, dont suppose you have any photos or info on his car.

Åke Andersson Bore Rally Feb 1967.

Waldegård/Helmer KAK Rally Feb 1967.

The Swedish porsche 911 rally story begin when Scania-Vabis (Porsche and VW importer in Sweden) ordered two Porsche 911. Waldegård was already contracted by Scania-Vabis because he drive VW in rally for them.
The other driver who was contracted was Åke Andersson. The cars was delivered in Januari 1967 and was prepared in Scania-Vabis Södrtälje where they had a garage for rally and race cars.

Manager for the team was Leif Hansen, he was also racing with Porsche 911 and 914-6 1966-1971.

First and second rally the cars had red interim number plates, B 1099 Waldegårds car and B 902 Anderssons car. Then they get the ordinary registration number B 34880 Waldegård car and B 70046 Anderssons car.

Andersson/Svedberg in 1000 Lakes Rally in Finland.

Waldegård/Helmer 1000 Lakes Rally in Finland.

They competed in about 15 rallies each 1n 1967. For example KAK Rally(Sweden), Rally Norway, Tulip Rally (Holland) Gulf Rally (England), 1000 Lakes Rally (Finland).

Waldegård at Gulf Rally, Waldegård/Helmer won 7 rallies 1967, they won also their first Swedish Championship this year, the cars had chassi number after each other and ordered with rally equipment, B 70046 Anderssons car come to the scrapyard 1979 but B 34880 is still driving.
