Rear seatbelt options best for child seats?

I'm sure this has cropped up before.

The new owner of 'my' 2.4E ('72) is going to have seatbelts front and rear, as well as the four-points (so plenty of options there

), and wants to put a child seat in the rear (currently for a 1 1/2 year old).

He would prefer inertias throughout: I just wondered if there are compelling reasons why we should consider any other options before ordering?

BTW, I take it Quick-Fit will be the place for these?

the other option is some rear inertias from a 993 / 964 etc ( as long as the car has the same parcel shelf arrangement where the inertia reel is designed to sit on a slight angle) from a breakers yard. Problem is these tend to cost more than the SBS units.

The SBS units are designed to sit horizontal so come with an appropriate mount

Hello Barry,

Here is the set we fitted in a 72. This set up is from Quick-Fit and uses the correct Porsche seat belt mounts.

For ease of use the three points have it. Also to fit a child seat suitable for a 1 1/2 year old the 4 point harness like my car won't work.

Inertia reels it is

Hi,

I spoke with Bob last week and he said 3 weeks. I have another car going for rolling road tune next week so will get another update then. As soon as he is done I just need 2 or 3 more days on it

With my luck I'm keeping real quiet..
